Crate & Barrel + Loverly Wedding Registry Event

Dallas, Texas

Flashback to that one time I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding registry event thrown by none other than the ladies of Loverly and the amazing staff of Crate & Barrel! To celebrate and kick off the launch of the Loverly Wedding Planner, written by the one and only Kellee Khalil - founder of Loverly - they set off to a four of the biggest cities in the country to bring newly engaged couples to a one stop registry shop and teach them the basics of the need-to-know. The couples gained knowledge about everything you can imagine - what types of knives are best for your kitchen? What cutlery best fits your lifestyle? And those random kitchen appliances you never knew existed - they make life SO much easier. Scan them now.

The friendly and clearly knowlegable staff of the Dallas Knox Street Crate & Barrel were more than helpful to the couples; answering any question arising about kitchen, dining, decor, and furniture, while also providing demonstrations with kitchen items here and there. Crepes, anyone?

While the staff and treats were more than enough to intice anyone to stay an hour or two, the beautiful storied set-ups for each of lifes necessities could make you ooh-and-ahh over a simple martini glass. The incredibly talented Raquel from DFW's own R Love Floral set the stage with her innovative and classically beautiful florall design. From the complete table scape to lovely centerpieces to the show-stopping floral arch near the photo booth, R Love Floral surely showed each newly engaged couple exactly whom they should call for their big day!

Heidi and her crew from DFW's Sugar Bee Sweets dazzled the crowd with their extra lovely dessert table: a four-tiered wedding cake complete with a different complimentary design on each tier was the centerpiece, kept in great company by the oh-so-delicious macarons, cake balls and three different flavors of cupcakes. Not only were the treats sweet, but the Sugar Bee Sweets ladies were just as wonderful!

To top off the day, Kellee K herself was tableside during the entire show to meet and greet the newly engaged couples and to sign their copies of her brand new wedding planner. The planner boasts itself as the modern couple's guide to simplified wedding planning is indeed a simple and innovative way to make the wedding planning process fun and keep track of yours and your fiance's adventure the whole way. You can find it here!

On the photography side, photographing such an awesome event and interacting with the vendors and couples was such a great experience. Crate + Barrel was sweet enough to let me set up a table with business cards and my sample albums, manned by my sweet friend Blakeley (complete with venti latte's of course!).

It was an honor to be apart of such a wonderful day dedicated to helping the soon-to-be-married couples of the DFW area. The Crate & Barrel + Loverly wedding registry event was such an exciting way to educate young couples on another side of wedding planning, and to put them in touch with some of the best wedding vendors in the area! A huge and special thanks go out to all the amazing vendors, as well as Danielle + Kellee of Loverly, Sarah B of Crate and Barrel, and the incredible staff of the Crate & Barrel Dallas Knox Street location! With all your wedding registry ideas, dilemmas and questions, be sure to make this a sure stop!
