Kelsey & Bryan
It was the summer of 2011 when they met. Both Bryan and Kelsey were working in Stillwater, Oklahoma in Eskimo Joe's restaurant. As Bryan moved from the kitchen to a door man and Kelsey stayed in her spot at bartender, their paths crossed more frequently and a loyal friendship ensued. After many months of playful banter and chatting, it was the Spring of 2012 that the pair joined a few friends out on their first "date". Though it's still a question, Bryan swears he made the first move.
Fast forward three years and it's holiday season of 2015. Kelsey had patiently waited and was relatively confident that her Christmas season would bring a proposal. But, Christmas came and went and she and Bryan's New Year's Eve kiss, though magical, didn't end quite the way she had envisioned.
Since Kelsey had just started a new job in Dallas and her hours were late, Bryan decided to treat her to a surprise dinner at Dakota's Steak House, their favorite fancy date spot, on the first day of the new year. As they sat across from each other at dinner, Bryan apologized. His Mom wanted them to take photos in front of the Christmas Ornaments at the Omni for their next year's Christmas Cards, and they would have to stand in the cold for awhile. Though it made little sense to Kelsey, she agreed. They got drinks to keep them warm, since January in Dallas is no heat wave. She noticed Bryan had gulped his drink and remained quiet as they walked to the ornaments. The pair asked a passerby to snap a quick photo, while Bryan got down on one knee. Kelsey was immediately warmed.
Kelsey, Bryan and I met with their "ring bearer" Bear, and Kelsey's sister Lauren for their engagement photos near the Trinity River in Dallas. Right alongside a running cement railway lies a wooden, abandoned railway. It's nearly as incredible as these two. Our second location was to walk around the streets of Uptown Dallas, where we just so happened to pass by the restaurant where Bryan dropped to a knee.
Kelsey & Bryan will be wed at the Tower Club in Thanksgiving Tower in Dallas, Texas in early September. With the look of these engagement photos, I can't wait to see how their wedding comes together! Congratulations, Kelsey & Bryan!!
